Gheorghe Vitanidis (1 October 1929 – 25 November 1994) was a Romanian film director.

[3] Born in Mangalia and of Greek descent,[4] he graduated in 1953 from the I.L.

Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts (IATC) in Bucharest.

[5] From 1961 to 1989, Vitanidis was a professor at the IATC, where he was head of the Film Directing Department.
