Lack of information among those who need audiology care exacerbates the poor availability of services.
The Global Audiology Working Group moderates the content within the Wikiversity pages.
Anyone can edit to develop the information further and ensure the content is accurate and up-to-date, and guidance is provided.
The project started in 2016 with the launch of a website called Global Resource for Audiology Information Networking (GRAIN).
The move was motivated by a desire to provide mechanisms to facilitate input from communities of interest.
