Gmina Jastarnia

Gmina Jastarnia is an urban and rural municipality in Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, within Puck County, on the Hel Peninsula.

On 1 January 1973, the urban-type settlement of Jastarnia received the statues of the town, and became an urban municipality.

[1] On 1 January 2017, it was changed to an urban and rural municipality, after villages of Kuźnica and Jurata were separated from the town.

With the area of 7.8 km2, it is the smallest urban and rular municipality in the country.

[6] In 2002, it had the largest percentage population of Kashubians out of all municipalities in Poland.
