Golam Mawla

Major-General Golam Mawla is a retired military officer,[1] a Bangladeshi politician from Bogra District of Bangladesh, and a former member of parliament elected from the Bogra-3 constituency in February 1996.

[4] He raised to the rank of Major in Pakistan Army.In 1971 he was posted in Dhaka Cantonment as the Commanding Officer of 149 Infantry Workshop [5] but after the crackdown he was sent to Saudi Arabia for training.Later on 13th December 1971 he was sent back to Pakistan.Later he was taken to the P.O.W.

He served as the Defence Attaché at Embassy of Bangladesh in Saudi Arabia.

In 1989 he was appointed as the Chairman of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board.

He died on 10th April 2019 at the age of 79 in Combined Military Hospital,Dhaka
