Greg Browning

Gregory Charles Browning (born 14 February 1953) is a retired field hockey player from Australia, who won the silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

[1] He was also Australia's youngest senior team player, making his debut at 16 years of age.

[3] Greg Browning was first selected for the Queensland Open Team in 1969 and he continuously represented his state for a period of 15 years until 1983.

He was selected for three Olympics first in 1972 in Munich, 1976 in Montreal (Silver Medal) and Moscow in 1980 when the team withdrew on Federal Government insistence.

He coached the Queensland Blades team to numerous Australian Hockey League titles and was runner up on several occasions.
