Gualterio is a town and village in the municipality of Chalchihuites, Zacatecas.

To the northwest, it is bordered by the municipality of Súchil, to the south by the town of Chalchihuites and to the east is Sombrerete, Zacatecas.

Gualterio is famous in the region for its spa, which, although it isn't a hot spring, is a place where different social groups coexist.

Over time, many people who inhabited it have left the community to go to cities inside and outside of Mexico.

On a hill to the south of the community, there's still a mill with a laboratory to process these metals.
