The Guangfo line or Guangfo Metro is a intercity metro line that connects the cities of Foshan and Guangzhou, both in Guangdong province.
As of December 2018, the line is currently 39.6 km (24.61 mi) long and has 25 stations, which are all underground.
The line was expected to start construction in 2002 with a tentative opening in 2009.
[3][4][5] However, due to capital shortage, its construction was claimed to be suspended until it resumed in 2007.
[9] An eastern extension from Lijiao to Dashacundong is under planning.
