Hagerman is a town in Chaves County, New Mexico, United States.

[4] Hagerman is located in south-central Chaves County approximately 2 miles (3 km) west of the Pecos River.

NM 249 leads east from the center of town 32 miles (51 km) to the top of the Mescalero Ridge.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2), all land.

21.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
