He opened his own Madrasa at Shah Sadar, Sewhan and practiced as Tibb (Hakeem), which was his ancestral profession.

Hakeem Fateh Mohammad Sehwani wrote sixteen books and was the first writer to publish a biography of Muhammad in Sindhi.
