Halgerda punctata

Halgerda punctata is a species of sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, shell-less marine gastropod mollusks in the family Discodorididae.

It is also reported from elsewhere in the eastern Indian Ocean on the coasts of Thailand and Myanmar.

[3] The body of Halgerda punctata is translucent white with a pattern of dark brown or black spots.

There is a reticulate pattern of raised ridges which carry yellow-tipped tubercles.

In specimens from Thailand and Myanmar these ridges are pronounced, but in animals from Sri Lanka they are much less noticeable.
