Hanoch Piven (born August 21, 1963 in Montevideo, Uruguay) is an Israeli mixed media artist best known for his celebrity caricatures.
[3] Piven's artworks are dimensional collages mixing paint with an assemblage of common objects and scraps of materials, including items which might be associated with the subject matter, specifically when creating a portrait of a well known person.
Between the years 1995 and 2001 Piven illustrated and wrote a regular monthly column in Haaretz daily newspaper which gained notoriety and established him as a singular creative voice in Israel.
Piven’s workshops cater to a wide range of audiences, including schools, universities, companies, and various organizations around the world.
[11] In 2015 Piven was a Seeds of Peace fellow, creating during his fellowship an arts education curriculum which explored identity, history, dreams, community, and "the other".
