The racial makeup of the township was 93.6% White, 0.7% Black or African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 0.7% from some other race, and 4.3% from two or more races.
27.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.2% were someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 69.4% of the population were employed, and 24.7% had a bachelor's degree or higher.
