Harry S Truman High School was located in Taylor, Michigan in Metro Detroit.

In addition, district leaders began the process of installing walls within the building, creating individual classroom that continue to be the current school configuration today.

Because of the closure, Kennedy's 2017-18 freshman class was transferred to Truman High School.

As part of the renaming, school colors have been changed to black and gold, and the athletics teams will become the Griffins.

The school served portions of Taylor, Dearborn Heights, Inkster, and Westland.
