The racial makeup of the township was 97.55% White, 1.84% Native American, and 0.61% from two or more races.

24.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 10.4% of families and 8.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty five or over.
