They recover it quickly however, and discover the thief was hired by the bosses of Attis, a chemical company that is a target of a lawsuit, to steal the organ who was meant for the lawyer handling the case.
Catherine reveals the seven years before, she was wounded and separated from her group, where she was rescued by Najib's father Amir (Mido Hamada).
The couple find Amir wounded in a field, and he reveals that his son was taken by Umar Hassan (Farshad Farahat), a terrorist who was thought to have been killed by American forces.
Catherine however, chooses to stay in Afghanistan to continue looking for Najib and heads off into the sunset after saying her final goodbyes to a heartbroken Steve.
