[1] Haliburton Village is in south central Ontario, about 25 km (15 mi) east of the village of Minden[2] and approximately 50 km (31 mi) south-west of the panhandle of Algonquin Park.

The primary inflow and outflow is the Drag River, arriving at the east from Drag Lake and leaving at the southwest to Grass Lake.

Ontario Highway 118 follows the east shore of the lake.
