Hendricus Leopold

Hendricus Leopold (29 August 1918 – 16 July 2008) was a Dutch diplomat.

He started working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

[1] In 1963, he was appointed quarter maker in Jakarta to prepare the opening of the first embassy in Indonesia.

[3] On 26 November 1975, the day after independence, he was installed as first ambassador to Suriname.

[6] Leopold died on 16 July 2008 in Lochem, at the age of 89.
