Henri Dorra (January 17, 1924 – June 14, 2002) was an Egyptian-born American art historian and educator.
[1] He then moved to the United States in 1947 to attend Harvard University, where he received the Bowdoin Prizes two years later.
[2] Upon graduation, Dorra began his curatorial career as Assistant Director of the Corcoran Gallery of Art in 1954.
In 1962, Dorra entered the world of academia as the Executive Vice President of the Herron School of Art and Design at the Indiana University–Purdue University.
In 1965, Dorra was named Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he remained for the rest of his career.
