Hilda Ward

Hilda Ward (1878–1950) American Expressionist painter and author.

[1] Ward studied in New York City with Robert Henri.

[2] Her friends included William Glackens and John French Sloan.

The show included two of her pieces, The Hound and The Kennels,[4] one of which was a pastel and the other a drawing.

[1] Ward was the author of a 1908 book entitled A Girl and the Motor, which chronicled her experiences as a woman driver and mechanic during the early years of the Automobile Age.
