Hiroko Yamasaki

After enrolling at the Tokyo Women's College of Physical Education, Yamasaki became a five-time national champion.

[1] She competed for Japan in the individual rhythmic gymnastics all-around competition at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

[1] After finishing her competitive career, Yamasaki began coaching as well as working as a sports writer.

She became a training director for the Japan Gymnastics Association in 2004, a position she held until 2021, and directed the national group, which won a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships.
