There is also Beco da Lama, a traditionally bohemian area of Cidade Alta that originated in the Dr. José Ivo Street, but has spread to the adjacent avenues and is now a Natal heritage site chosen by the community.

[2][3] Some of the best-known buildings in the Historic Center are the Alberto Maranhão Theater, the Bela Vista Manor House and the Mother Church of Our Lady of the Presentation (Old Cathedral).

In the zone, there is also the new Desembargador Vicente Lemos Justice Memorial, which tells the story of the judiciary of Rio Grande do Norte.
