Holgate is a village in Henry County, Ohio, United States.
Holgate, formerly known as Kaufmanville,[6] was platted in 1873 when the railroad was extended to that point[7] and incorporated as a village in 1881.
[8] The village has the name of William Holgate, the original owner of the town site.
