Hope and Aid Direct

It was co-founded in 1999 by Charles Storer MBE, after driving trucks full of humanitarian aid to Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia from 1996 to 1999.

The aid received is transported in convoys of lorries twice a year, and handed out directly to the people who need it the most.

Convoys of aid were regularly being delivered to mainland Greece, Lesbos, Chios and Serbia.

In 2004, four team members joined workers in Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.

In late 2015 the charity shifted focus and began supporting Syrian Refugees across Europe.
