Horonobe Station

The station has a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office.

With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR), the successor of JGR, on 1 April 1987, JR Hokkaido took over control of the station.

In 2019, JR Hokkaido and Sagawa Express began a mixed freight and passenger service between Wakkanai and Horonobe Station.

In fiscal 2022, the station was used by an average of 22 passengers daily.
