Huanipaca District is one of the nine districts of the Abancay Province in Peru.
[1] One of the highest peaks of the district is Ampay at 5,236 m (17,178 ft) located in the Ampay National Sanctuary.

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (77.81%) learnt to speak in childhood, 21.41% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
