Huayana District is one of the nineteen districts of the Andahuaylas Province in Peru.
[1] One of the highest peaks of the district is Qucha Urqu at approximately 4,200 m (13,800 ft).

Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (86.11%) learnt to speak in childhood, 13.67% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).
