Chalcorana rufipes is a species of "true frog" in the family Ranidae.
[1] It was split off from Chalcorana chalconota by Robert Inger and colleagues in 2009,[3] along with a number of other species.
[2] The specific name rufipes is derived from Latin rufus meaning reddish and pes meaning foot, in reference to the reddish tinge on the underside of the pedal webbing in life.
The venter is whitish without markings, Some individuals have dark crossbars on the hind limbs.
However, it is threatened by clear-cutting of lowland tropical rainforest for oil palm plantations, small holder agriculture, and wood extraction.
