Hylodes is a genus of frogs in the family Hylodidae.
The genus Hylodes is endemic to southeastern Brazil.
Member species are also known commonly as the tree toads, or more ambiguously, as torrent frogs.
[1] They are diurnal and usually inhabit shallow mountain streams.
[3] The following species are recognised as being valid in the genus Hylodes:[1][2] Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Hylodes.
