Imam Sahib District (ولسوالی امامصاحب) is situated in the northern part of Kunduz Province, Afghanistan.
It has an estimated population of 232,846 as of 2021,[1] which include ethnic Uzbeks at 45%, Pashtuns at 25%, Tajiks at 25% and Hazaras at 1%.
According to some reports, Imam Sahib district was controlled by Salam, whose influence extends to Baghlan, Takhar and the Tajikistan border region.
[3] On 22 November 2009 it was reported that a group of militants in the Taj Gozar area attacked a police checkpoint, where 3 militants were supposedly killed.
