The International Arctic Research Center, or IARC, established in 1999,[1] is a research institution focused on integrating and coordinating study of Climate change in the Arctic.
The primary partners in IARC are Japan and the United States.
The center is located at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, in the Syun-Ichi Akasofu Building.
The building also houses the UAF atmospheric sciences department, the Center for Global Change and the Fairbanks forecast office of the National Weather Service.
