Isagani Cruz

Isagani A. Cruz (October 11, 1924 – March 21, 2013) was a Filipino judge who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines from 1986 to 1994.

[1] Prior to his appointment to the High Court, Justice Cruz served, among others, as Chair of the Code Commission of the Department of Justice (1966-1972); Senior Partner, Laurel Law Offices; and Dean, College of Law, Lyceum of the Philippines University (1963-1968).

[2] He wrote a column called "Separate Opinion" for the Philippine Daily Inquirer from 1995 to 2010 after retiring from the Supreme Court.

[1] Isagani A. Cruz died in his sleep on March 21, 2013, at the age of 88.

[1] He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Salvacion, and six children - Cesar, Claro, Celso, Carlo, Isagani Jr., and Cynthia.
