He played college football at Georgia Tech, and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Lions in 2015.
He earned all-state, all-region, and all-county honors as safety in 2009, when he helped lead Sandy Creek to the state championship.

He finished his college career with 283 tackles, which were the most by any Georgia Tech defensive back.
