Syed J. R. Mudassir Husain (born 1 March 1940)[1] is a Bangladeshi jurist who served as the 14th Chief Justice of Bangladesh during 2004–2007.
Hussain’s family known as Taraf of Bengal, direct descendants of Syed Shah Nasiruddin (Sipahsalar of Delhi Sultanet of Sultan Shamsuddin Firoz Shah ) of 13th century Saint ( Conquest of Sylhet in 1303), Murarband Darbar Sharif, Chunarughat.
[3] Husain completed his BA and LLB from the University of Dhaka.
He was then appointed a High Court judge on 18 February 1992 and elevated to the Appellate Division on 5 March 2002.
