James A. Paul

James A. Paul (born June 10, 1941) is a writer and non-profit executive who has worked throughout his career in the field of international relations and global policy.

Paul was born in New York City and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and earned a B.A.

Between 1993 and 2012, he served as founding Executive Director of Global Policy Forum, an organization that monitors policy-making at the United Nations.

He was Chair of the Board of Trustees of the World Fellowship Center, member of the Committee for an Exploratory Study of Graduate Education in Political Science of the American Political Science Association and member of the Editorial Committee of Peuples Méditerranéens.

He is also Convener of the NGO Working Group on Food and Hunger and serves as board Chair of the Repast Baroque Ensemble.
