James Clarke White (1833–1916) was an American dermatologist and professor at Harvard Medical School.
His grandson, James Clarke White, was also a professor at Harvard Medical School.
[4][3][1] While operating a private medical practice and visiting at Massachusetts General Hospital, he became an instructor at Harvard in 1858, and an adjunct professor in 1866.
[1] He was also one of the founder of the Boston Society of Natural History and acted as its anatomy curator.
[3] He was a corresponding or honorary member of the dermatological societies of Argentina, France, Italy, Berlin, London, New York, and Vienna.
