James F. Duhamel

James Francis Duhamel (August 5, 1858 – October 27, 1947) was an American lawyer and politician from New York.

Duhamel, born in Washington, D.C., was the son of Dr. W. J. C. DuHamel, a surgeon who served on the White House staff of Presidents James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson.

Duhamel attended St. Matthew's Institute, and St. John's College, in Washington, D.C.

Originally elected as an Independence Leaguer with Democratic endorsement, he later joined the Democratic Party, and in 1914 Ex-Governor Sulzer's American Party.

He died on October 27, 1947, in the John Dickson Home at 5000 Fourteenth Street N.W.
