James Graham-Campbell, FBA, FSA (born 7 February 1947)[1] is a British archaeologist, medievalist, and academic, specialising in the Viking Age.
He was educated at Eton College, an all-boys independent boarding school in Berkshire.
He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, graduating with Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees: as per tradition, his BA was promoted to a Master of Arts (MA Cantab) degree.
[3] In addition to his academic work, he was a member of the Ancient Monuments Advisory Committee, English Heritage from 1992 to 1997.
