James H. Pierson

James Henry Pierson (May 26, 1838 – March 28, 1914) was an American politician from New York.

[1] Pierson's father Philetus was a whaling captain.

[2] As a young man, Pierson served as Southampton's highway commissioner, assessor, tax collector, and inspector of elections.

[3] In 1889, Pierson was elected to the New York State Assembly, representing Suffolk County.

[1] Pierson died in his Southampton home on March 28, 1914.
