James M. Bennett High School

It is part of the Wicomico County Public School system.

[4][5] The current school maintains the Bennett Memorial Garden, a garden designed and built in 2000, to honor three Class of 2000 students who died before graduating, Lori Sterling, Adam Travatello, and Jessica Smith.

[6][7] The garden was dedicated on August 19, 2000 with participation from Frank Perdue, then Salisbury Mayor Barrie Tilghman, and Jacob Day, who designed the Garden.

[8] After construction, an endowed maintenance fund was established at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
