James Montgomery (March 8, 1788 – April 11, 1878) was an American politician and physician from Maryland.
He served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Harford County, from 1824 to 1827 and in 1830.
His father was a slave owner, Revolutionary War officer, lawyer and landowner.
[1][2] Montgomery was a surgeon in Captain Macatee's company of the cavalry troops of Colonel Streett.
