Jan Mans

J. H. H. (Jan) Mans (9 April 1940, Heerlen – 18 February 2021, Meerssen[1]) was a Dutch politician of the Labour Party (PvdA).

A report by the commission Oosting found the city government lacking in its inspections of the site before the accident.

The mayor's actions during the disaster found general support and he remained in office for another five years.

From 1 December 2006 he was chairman of the Chamber of commerce of Northern and Southern Limburg.

[5][6] In 2012 Mans was acting mayor of Gouda succeeding Wim Cornelis, who retired early.
