[2] She was invited to join the executive of the British Women's Temperance Association, under the presidency of Mrs. Margaret Bright Lucas.
[2] Aukland was creditted with founding new branches of the Association among the British middle classes.
She would speak at drawing room meetings and she encouraged people to form branches.
[1] In February 1884, the National Temperance Federation (NTF) organised a meeting at Exeter Hall in London.
They successfully recommended that the British Women's Temperance Association should become an NTF affiliate.
