Jason Godin

[2][3][4] Godin decided to run for mayor when he learned that the incumbent, Lucio Cordisco, would not stand for reelection if there were other candidates.

[6] He won the nomination,[7] but was defeated by Liberal Serge Cormier in the general election.

[9] Prior to the election, he was a business administration student at the University of Moncton in Shippagan.

He was one of the lawyers for the Forum des maires de la Péninsule acadienne in a lawsuit against the Government of New Brunswick following the closing of two court houses in the north of the province.

Justice Bourque of the Court of King's Bench gave reason to the Forum des maires and sat aside the decision of the Government.
