He then attended USC for graduate study and received a master's degree in composition at CSU Northridge.
From there, he was chosen to be musical director and arranger for the Rolling Along Show, a 25-member variety review which toured the world entertaining military personnel.
[2] He organized, conducted and composed the library for the 12 piece symphonic Jazz/Fusion group Spectrum for 10 years, from 1971 to 1981, performing concerts in the Los Angeles area.
