James L. Blount (June 4, 1935 – August 22, 2017) was an American newspaper editor and historian.
[2] He wrote a weekly column on local history in the Journal News from 1988 to 2004.
[2] He left the newspaper to become a high school history teacher in 1986.
[1] He served on the board of directors of the Butler County Transportation Improvement District from 1994 until his death.
Blount died in Hamilton, Ohio on August 22, 2017, at the age of 82.
