"Doc" Alexander (April 1, 1897 – September 12, 1975) was an American football player, who played center, tackle, guard, and end, and coach in the National Football League (NFL).
[1] Alexander was born in Silver Creek, New York, the son of Russian immigrants, and was Jewish.
[1][2] He attended Syracuse University, and played for the school football team—twice being named All American at guard—as he attained a medical degree.
