Bachie attended Berea High School where he was ranked among the nation's top inside linebackers by Rivals.com and 247Sports.com.

Bachie also played basketball and baseball in high school, earning all-conference honors in both sports as a junior.

He tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance during his senior season, ending his collegiate career prematurely.
