John Alexander Ferguson

John Alexander Ferguson (15 December 1881 – 7 May 1969) was a New Zealand-born Australian lawyer, judge, book collector, and author.

They had four children, George Adie (1910–1998), Margaret Douglas (1912–2000), lawyer John Bruce (1914–1989), and Colin Scott (b.

1919) who died in 1943 in a Bristol Beaufort bomber accident while training in the Royal Australian Air Force.

He specialized in labor law and appeared before the High Court of Australia and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
