John Anderson (New Zealand businessman, born 1945)

Sir John Anthony Anderson KBE (2 August 1945 – 13 November 2018) was a New Zealand businessman and sports administrator.

Anderson was on a number of business boards in the 1980s, including New Zealand Steel and Petrocorp, where he was Chairman.

[5] At the next regular round of DHB appointments in November 2010, Ryall did not reappoint Anderson at either Hawke's Bay or Capital and Coast DHBs.

[9] Anderson was awarded the New Zealand 1990 Commemoration Medal, and in the 1995 New Year Honours, he was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for services to business management, banking and the community.

[10] In 2005, he was the inaugural winner of the Blake Medal for demonstrated leadership in many fields – business, sport, environment and the community.
