John E. Thiel

John Edwin Thiel (born July 28, 1951) is the Aloysius P. Kelley, S.J.

[1] He was Visiting Professor of Religious Studies, Yale University, in the spring semesters of 2000, 2019, and 2020.

Twice a recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities,[1] he is the author of seven books.

He writes in the field of Roman Catholic systematic theology.
